Dr. Subrata Ghosh is a postdoctoral research scholar inProf. Natia Frank’s group at the University of Nevada Reno, USA working on optically gated molecular complexes for quantum information science. Previously, he was a postdoctoral scholar as a CSIR research associate (CSIR RA) in Prof. Abhishake Mondal’sgroup at the Indian Institute of Science, India from 2018 to 2021. There, Dr. Ghoshworked on multifunctional switchable molecular magnetic materials. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Technische Universität Kaiserslautern,Germany (RPTU now), where he honed his knowledge of coordination chemistry by studying a detailed mechanistic aspect of nickel-catalyzed carbon-carbon bond formation. Dr. Ghosh completed his M.Sc and B.Sc in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) and Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira under the University of Calcutta respectively.Besides research, Subrata enjoys spending time with his son Adrit, photography, playing cricket, and volleyball.
